Photos by Papa

We are so lucky to have our own personal photographer to capture every moment of our boys lives. We took Drew and Luke to Papa's studio for some 6 month shots of Drew.

Look at that belly! (He obviously loves to eat) :) Drew is so happy. All. the. time. Made Papa's job a bit easier I think.

Jett and Drew, 4 months apart.

Luke, being sweet in a Valentine's Day pose.

My boys. Almost impossible to get a good one of them together. Maybe someday....

My little man.

I know I am biased, but isn't he adorable???

And last, a cowboy wishing you a happy valentine's day.

finally, an new post...

Sorry for the lack of updates (well, at least for momo, she is one of the only ones I know that reads this on a daily basis!). The boys are starting to really play together. Tonight at dinner Luke and Drew played a mad game of peek-a-boo. It was pretty cute. Baseball season is about to start and Luke can't wait to play with Colie (one of the coaches daughters). He told me the other day that he wanted to marry her, well, her or Rin Rin.

Luke waiting for Baby Jett to come over. I think he sat there for at least 20 minutes.

At the park in Canyon Lake. I know you can't really see his shoes, but they are these god awful red "croc" type shoes that look like Lightening McQueen. He loves them. They are so horribly ugly....

John, teaching Luke the art of dunkin cookies in milk. Luke thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Drew at a Bronco basketball game. One of my very first memories of him (moments after he was born) was how big his mouth was. Seriously, it was one of the first things I noticed. As you can see, it hasn't gotten much smaller. :)

At lunch today we ran into Luke's best friend from when he was 3 months old, Aubrie. He was so excited to see her...they ran and hugged. She always called him her "Boo". Needless to say, this was the highlight of his day.

A photo by Luke.

Ok, Drew loves, loves, loves to play with napkins, paper, etc. We tried to trade this out for a toy and he cried and cried. (And I am not sure why his hair looks red in this picture, it really isn't)

The new hot spot

The park is our new favorite place. There is nothing better than slides and swings.

2007- A year in review

2007 has been a fantastic year for us. So, here it is....our year in review.
January
We took our annual trip to Big Bear. Luke loved the nature center. Papa took him to see the "bears". He wasn't a big fan of the snow or sledding....maybe next year. Although he did love spending all that time with his cousins, Raquel and Ethan and running from cabin to cabin.

And yes, he was giving himself a "bath"
February
In February Luke had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. He was a trooper....he was eating french fries not long after getting out of surgery. I think it was harder on me! :) I bawled when they took him back to surgery...it was awful. But, he did great! As you can see, he had no problem saying "cheeeese"

March
A new cousin was born (early!). Jett Thomas was born on March 9th (seven weeks early). He is absolutely adorable.

April
May
Luke turned 2 on May 3. He is getting so big. We took him to Disneyland where he met the love of his life (so far...) Minnie. He kept calling her name and waving, finally, he couldn't take it anymore and he ran and hugged her. I think he cut in front of the line.
At the end of May, Uncle Wade and Aunt Melissa got married and Luke was the ring bearer. He did a pretty good job but he really loved the dancing part!
We also went to a few Padre games. He loved the "beach" area. It is a huge sand area for kids in the outfield.
June
We spent most of June getting ready for Drew's arrival. We were counting down the days. Luke thought there was a baby in his belly too.

Papa went to Luke's Father's Day breakfast at ABC. Daddy had a meeting so Papa enjoyed pancakes with Luke. To say he was excited to have his Papa with him is an understatement.

July
Our biggest month of the year!! Drew Jackson was born on July 12 and was a perfect addition to our family. He has been such an easy baby and Luke has loved having a little brother.
Here they are meeting for the first time, just moments after Drew was born.
Our first family photo.
Drew went on his first vacation at only a week old. We went to the beach for a week and he did great. Here are the cousins, from youngest to oldest.

August

Ok, their head sizes in this is amazing....Jett has a large noggin! :) It is hard to believe they are only 4 months apart.

September
Football season! Since Uncle Sean has been in Australia since July, Auntie Rin and Baby Jett attended many of the games with us. Luke loved showing him the ropes of being a Bronco fan. Drew continued to be the easiest baby. He is so sweet and such a lovebug.

October
For Halloween, Luke and Drew were both cowboys. We also started to try (and I emphasize try because we still are not successful) to potty train Luke. He has no interest. Ah, hopefully someday. As our pediatrician told us, he won't go to college in diapers.....
Here is Luke sitting on the toliet and Drew sitting in the Bumbo, different seats but same expression!

November
Luke and Drew's great grandma came to visit from Oklahoma. We had the best time. Luke wore her out! He still talks about Oklahoma and wanting to go there on a helicopter.

December
What a great ending to an incredible year. We have enjoyed every moment. Drew has been the best "present" we could have ever asked for.
We can't wait to see what is in store for 2008.

Mr. Funny, Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Happy

Ok, I know you can't really read the boys shirts but Jett is Mr. Funny, Luke is Mr. Grumpy and Drew is definitely Mr. Happy (and also teething as you can tell by his drool!)

Today was Drew's 6 month old appointment. He weighs 18lbs and is 27 1/2 inches long. Little chunker. Poor little guy had to get 4 shots but he barely cried...he just looked at me with those big ol eyes. Broke my heart.
Oh, and here is a classic Luke story. Tonight we were driving in the car and I was talking to John. Apparently, he wanted my attention because he said "Mommy, shut your mouth" Of course, John immediately said, "Luke, you do not talk to your mom that way. What do you need to say to her?" Luke thinks about it and then says, "Mommy, pleeeeaase shut your mouth."
Needless to say it took a lot to not laugh at that one. Oh, and for the record.....I shut my mouth;)

The boys at 6 months old

Obviously they both love to eat...other than that I am still not sure they look alike.

A few more from Big Bear

We went for a hike on our last day in Big Bear (right before the storm hit!).

Papa, Luke and Momo on an "adventure"

Another family pic

Our little man.

Our little happy baby.

Luke was looking everywhere for pinecones. He found one for him and one for Drew....can you guess which one is for his little brother? :)

Happy New Year from Big Bear!

We are at our annual Big Bear trip (thanks Momo and Papa). I don't think Luke ever wants to leave "the top of the mountain".

Our family.

Daddy and Luke at the slopes.

Luke looking out at the snow.

Luke and his buddy Brian. Brian inspired Luke to become a snowboarder some day. He adored him.

Drew also aspiring to be a future snowboarder.

I don't think he has ever been this happy. Vacation, Momo and Papa, and sledding. Total joy.

Watching Brian snowboard at Bear Mountain.

Here is Luke going "snowboarding" as he called it. Ah, snowboarding, sledding, same thing, right??

Cutest. Nephew. Ever.

Drew, poor baby was so cold but he wanted watch his brother go sledding.
