Daddy and Drew (Brees that is...)

Drew loves him some football. Even at 2 years old, he is a huge fan. He really loves watching the games with daddy. Tonight, as soon as John turned the game on, he ran to the playroom and grabbed his football. He then proceeded to watch the game like this.....

Photobucket

Oops, until he saw mean old Brady trying to beat Drew Brees. (He has some special feelings for good ol Brees...) :)
(at this point we had a conversation about not throwing the ball at the TV)

Photobucket

And this is his "RAAWWWRR" face when he wants to "tackle". Although, I do have to say, there is nothing cuter than watching him try and imitate the high school football players doing their warm-ups on Friday nights. I think he has mastered the art of pregame stretches. :)

A Time of Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! In the spirit of thanks we asked the boys this morning what they are thankful for......
Luke

Photobucket
*Our house
*Family because I love them
*All my toys
*Christmas
*All my friends
*All my cousins
*My room staying clean
*And I like everything about Valentines Day...like playing ball with my friends (I think at this point he was getting confused on what holiday we were actually celebrating!)
Drew

Photobucket
*for babies
*babies
*talking
*more babies
*Momo
*Papa
*Grandma
*football....go football game
*Papa (yes, again)
*and the ipod (a favorite!)
So...yes, Luke loves clean things and Drew apparently has a thing for babies right now...keep in mind this is the same kid who is eating his waffles dipped in ketchup right now. Yes, ketchup.
We have so many things to be thankful for. We are thankful for our boys who make us laugh every single day (and sometimes pull our hair out). The Broncos still being in the playoffs (ok, that was John's) :) Marley, our wonder dog. The Chargers being on a winning streak.....yep, another one of John's. Our home. Our jobs. And most importantly, there is not one thing that we are more thankful for this year than Papa's health. This has been a constant prayer in Luke and Drew's prayers at night and we are feel beyond thankful and blessed that we received the news we did on Monday. In Luke's words, "Papa is just the best...he is so special, I just like him." Oh and Drew wanted to say "Papa....and Momo!!" Good ol Drew :)

Umm....Christmas Photo FAIL!

We have had this problem year after year...I can never get a decent Christmas photo of the boys. I think this one takes the cake. Epic Fail :)

Photobucket

Drew did not love the idea of standing next to Luke in lights so....next best thing, wrap him up and try and drag him around....
Photobucket

Yeah, Luke hated it. (but Drew was loving it....) HA!

Let the playoffs begin!

I can't believe that football playoffs start this Friday. This season has gone by incredibly fast, probably because this the first season that I haven't had to bring strollers, diaper bags, pj's....just the boys, chairs, oh and some starbucks :)

Photobucket

This past Friday was the big Murrieta game. We got to the game hours early. The boys had fun pretending they were the "big boys" and running all over the field.

John and Luke

And Drew getting in on the big pep talk from Daddy.

Photobucket
Drew was too thrilled to have free reign of the field to stop and pose for many pictures. Luckily, Luke was willing to...
Photobucket

Then Luke wanted to try and take a picture of John and I....this was the last attempt of many....we decided to move into the shot for him :)
Photobucket
And then they tackle......(and Kaiden is in that pile too)
Photobucket
The group...in typical fashion....not everyone looking, smiling or even with their eyes open
Photobucket
Erin, Sean, Jett and Lila joined us for the big game. Jett was missing from most pictures because he and Drew had a great time playing "get em" Basic idea- push each other and laugh until one cries....lovely, lovely, game.

Photobucket

Raquel is a total football fan now. Hard to believe that she will be a true Bronco in 3 short years.....
Photobucket
Drew, watching the game from his little chair. After the game we went out on to the field to see John and every football player we passed Drew said, "Oh hi football game!" Guess we need to start working on more on the fundamentals with him.....

And a cute one of Drew's future wife, Maddie (Reesie's beautiful little girl)

Meet the newest member of our family...

As everyone who knows me knows, I am not the biggest animal lover. My parents always had a million and one pets growing up and I just never had the desire to have animals of my own. Well, until I had two little boys and I met Marley....
(she looks big here but she is still a puppy)
Photobucket

she is the sweetest, calmest, most perfect dog in the world

Photobucket
the boys are in heaven and she is great with them....as you can see from Luke's tongue hanging out and his determination to get the ball from Marley and play more fetch.

Photobucket
so, yes, I have completely gone to the other side of being an animal lover...but she is too stinkin cute.

...2 little monkeys sitting in a tree....

Not a new picture, just one I haven't shared. I know Uncle Matt is a frequent checker of the good ol blog and I don't want to let him down. :) Hi Dr. Matt! We miss you TONS!

Photobucket

and yes, this is the same photo session that Drew was grumpy at....um, but Papa can always get him to smile. Little stinker.

Happy Halloween!

The countdown has been on for a few weeks now. Luke would wake up every morning and ask how many more days until Halloween. I think it ranks up there as one of his favorites...and not because of the candy....but because of the costume.
First, lovely little Lila as Catwoman....and her Momo and Papa.

Photobucket

Since Drew and Luke had been wearing their costumes for quite some time before the party, Drew got sick of the mask. He refused to wear it the rest of the night.

Photobucket

Braden, who I think got a bit overwhelmed when Batman, aka Luke, went flying out to his car to greet him....

Photobucket

The sad attempt at a group picture...
Jacob, Jett, Braden, Luke, Lila and Drew
Photobucket

Not a great pic but I always want to remember how Drew continously pulled the shoulder down on his costume....we think he secretly wanted to be Jazzercise Robin

Photobucket

Batman and the Boxer (Kaiden)

Photobucket

Braden and Jett....this was right after a house gave out glow sticks. Huge hit with the kids, as you can tell by Braden's face....Jett, not so much.

Photobucket

Drew, Momo and I skipped the last few houses because Drew thought he was bucket was getting a little too heavy. Well, until he decided that he needed to stop and check out everyone's pumpkins. And since he had made it that far up their driveway, he proceeded to trick or treat all on his own. No fear that child, no fear.
