Christmas 2007

We had a fantastic Christmas. The boys were completely spoiled!! I think I was just as excited as they were on Christmas morning. :)

Leaving cookies for Santa...Luke dictated the note for me and yes, those are the cookies that he decorated. Beautiful, huh? :)

Sprinkling the reindeer "dinner" on the lawn.

Baby Jett, Luke and Drew in front of Momo's gluttony of Christmas presents.

One of Luke's favorite Christmas present. He was riding that thing Christmas morning at 6am. Thanks Anne Marie and Lawrence. :)

Another favorite....his very own digital camera. Look for more photography by Luke posts in the future.

Coming down the stairs Christmas morning.

The boys

ok, I said they were spoiled and I wasn't kidding. It looks like Toys R Us threw up in here.

And one more favorite gift of 2007...his very own headband flashlight (thanks to Papa). He now has a need to make the house as dark as possible so he can go on adventures.

Christmas day at Uncle Wade and Aunt Melissa's. I think Luke was beginning to crash at this point.

Drew with Larissa. He has been teething pretty bad but was still as happy as can be :)

Santa!

We tried to take the kids to see Santa at the mall numerous times and everytime it was super crowded. I didn't want the Christmas season to pass without getting some pictures so we improvised at Papa's studio. Can you tell who was Santa? (and Luke had NO idea....)

Baby Jett HATED Santa. Poor little guy was terrified! (And his shirt says, "Santa's biggest fan" I guess not this year)

Baking--Luke style!

Luke and I decided to make some cookies for Christmas. I am not sure they are edible but we had so much fun....well, at least Luke did. Don't they look yummy??

Like I said, don't they look yummy?!? :)

He LOVES his brother

We are so lucky that our boys truly love each other. Drew watches everything Luke does and has a belly laugh that only his brother can bring out. It is a great thing to see. The other night my parents were watching the kids so we could go out to dinner to celebrate John's birthday. Momo was teasing Luke when we got there by saying she was going to keep Drew for the night. Luke got so worked up wanting to make sure that we took Drew home. He did NOT want him getting left behind. It was pretty cute. Now, if we can just remind them of these sweet moments when they want to pummell each other in a few years....

A singer?

Luke has many career aspirations. Currently, he wants to be a photographer (like his Papa). He wants to take pictures of camels and babies....go figure. I think his Papa may be getting him a Christmas present that encourages this profession. Well, if that doesn't work out he may want to look into singing- or maybe not. :)

Vacation has officially begun! :)

We kicked off our Christmas vacation by a trip to Starbucks and the mall. Luke was spoiled and Daddy got him a HUGE crispy square. Needless to say, he loved it! And no....he didn't even come close to finishing it.

Loving the jumperoo!!

Drew @ 5 months old

Drew has been fighting a nasty cold the past few days. It doesn't even seem to faze him, as you can see from the jumperoo video. He is just a happy little guy :)

Luke's first day of Kindergarten

Luke went to school with me on Friday and had so much fun! It was pajama day and he fit right in.

Here he is at recess "riding" the bikes...he couldn't quite reach the pedals.
Watching the Polar Express

And having his snack.

He can't wait to go back...

Christmas card outtakes

If you get a Christmas card photo from us, it will be a miracle. We attempted a photo shoot today. Um....it didn't turn out so great.

The group shot.
ok, baby Jett is seriously the easiest kid to get to smile. you look at the kid and he grins. apparently today, he decided to try the "serious" look. And Drew is sportin the double chins. big time.

drew, one happy baby.
This is what Luke was doing when we were trying to get him to sit with his brother.

Momo, Papa and the kids.

Santa baby

Drew got an early Christmas present, the jumperoo. He love, love, loves it. His whole world changed now that he can watch his brother run wild. :)

Baby Jett misses his Daddy

Uncle Sean is going to be home in less than a week (YEAH!). When John was holding him last night, Jett just crashed. He can't wait to be held by his daddy. Side note, doesn't he look GINORMOUS???

Bananas, not yet a favorite....

Drew is trying bananas and rice cereal for the first time. Um, I am not sure he loved it.

Painting and kids....not a good mix

Erin and I decided it would be fun to let the kids make Christmas crafts....umm, I don't think it came out quite like we thought it would....
Here is Luke painting a Christmas tree
And here is Jett....and he is uh, painting too...

Drew was the smart one and took no part in our madness. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. John's grandma came to visit from Oklahoma. Luke ADORES her. She spent the majority of her time coloring, playing legos, doing puzzles and snuggling with Luke (oh yeah, she also did a ton of cooking!) We enjoyed every moment with her.
Brothers....ok, aren't they so cute?!
Look who is a big boy!!

My favorite little men...

Daddy and Drew

Luke walking with his great grandma

Attempting to take some nice pictures...it is very hard to get two little ones to smile at the same time.
Baby Jett and Drew
Trying to get two kids to smile is difficult, trying to get 5 to do that is impossible. But hey, Momo looks good! :)

Drew attempting to eat :)

I am not quite sure what he thinks about it....

But he does love the highchair!!

So much FUN!

We spent the day at California Adventures and had a blast!
Drew and Jett bundled up and ready to go...
At this point Luke was so amped...he couldn't wait!

The family

Mater and Lightening McQueen
Yes, Luke volunteered in the Playhouse Disney show...
Poor Drew was not feeling great (he had a little cold) so he spent most of the day asleep.
Luke and his favorite friend, Mickey.

And with his two favorite girls, Minnie and Kel (Raquel)

Daddy and Luke
Lovin on JoJo
Papa spending some quiet time with Drew
Luke LOVES the parade. There is nothing better than watching it through his eyes. Total and complete joy.
