What’s summer without watermelon?

We were at Momo’s the other night and she had a big ol watermelon for the kids.

Jett chose to lick the watermelon…..IMG_8568

And look closely at the ground, that is Jett’s General Grievous that Rin Rin made a cape for….forget the bows and flower clips, she is now into making superhero gear.IMG_8572

Diggin in!

Drew wasn’t sure what to make of Jett’s licking..he is a boy who likes to devour food (as is apparent by his buddha belly)IMG_8574

ok, a few things have changed since last year.  One, Luke can read so he wanted to give the same answers as last year.  Good to see John doesn’t still wear hair bands or love Jack in the Box. :)  And Drew…I have no words.  I guess that is what I get for trying to interview a 2 year old (almost 3!)

But John, you make our life better, every single moment.  Our children are beyond blessed to call you Daddy.  I am so confident that they are going to grow into amazing men (and daddies!) because of you and your guidance.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds…

We love you (to the moon and back!)

Here Comes the Sun……

Every morning on the way to school we listen to the ipod.  The Beatles have become a favorite in our rotation (especially since they sing Here Comes the Sun from The Bee Movie).  A tribute band was playing at the wineries on Saturday night and Luke’s future kindergarten teacher hooked us up with tickets.

A rare family shot….IMG_8474

Drew, who travels EVERYWHERE lately with his cape.IMG_8483

I love him.IMG_8487

Luke thought we were really seeing The Beatles, I didn’t break the news to him…IMG_8488

Play date with our besties

Lila…who had double dipped numerous times in the veggie dip. But really, can you fault someone that this cute?!

IMG_8404

And here she was eating from each of the boys plates.  Love how she can hold her own.IMG_8407

Drew wasn’t a fan of the chips and sandwich….he is a HUGE fruit lover.  When I came to bring him more, he preferred the bowl.  IMG_8415

Best buds.  IMG_8419

Luke looks greasy because of the tons of sunscreen I put on himIMG_8424

still only 1 looking at the camera…IMG_8426

yep, fail as always…..one day we will get a good shot :)IMG_8429

Luke, always a ham….he was showing me an action shot of what he was going to be doing on the slip-n-slideIMG_8431

momo and papa’s ALWAYS an adventure :)

So, we went to Momo and Papa’s the other night to celebrate Rin Rin’s birthday.  We figured we could hang out, have some pizza, cake, you know typical family birthday celebration.  Well……she didn’t really get the party of her dreams.  Lets just say they had a few problems at the house.  Problems with the septic.  Need I say more?

Little Lulu loves her Momo.  She does do this weird collapse thing on her whenever Momo holds her though.  We think Momo sweats tryptophan…or whatever that stuff is that is in turkeys that makes you sleepy on Thanksgiving.

6-6 008

Yeah, but the feeling is pretty mutual :)  Although why Momo was laughing…..

6-6 013

This is what Papa thought of the septic issues.  Not pleased. Nope, not pleased at all.

6-6 026

Nasty on SO many levels.6-6 027

The boys, trying to solve the problem6-6 036

oh but wait….look what Uncle Sean found!6-6 038

you would have thought he found gold.6-6 042

Luke wanted to hold the lizard so bad.  Luckily he had the glove as a good barricade :)6-6 045

Raquel is over all this boy stuff…she is ready for middle school.  oh, and the new Twilight movie to come out.  But how in the heck did she get this old already?

6-6 023

I swear she was JUST this little yesterday…..and looked (and acted) a lot like Lila :)6-6 031
