Soggyland

We headed off to Legoland yesterday to use some free tickets that Papa had scored. Right when we got there (at 10am no less) Drew decided he was hungry. Of course he was :)

Photobucket

One of the few pictures I was able to take because the weather got cold and rainy pretty fast. Ethan and Luke with a lego Santa. One of these boys is too cool for this picture, care to guess??

Photobucket

Raquel was the sweetest. She spent the majority of the time being Drew's buddy. He dragged her up a million rope climbs and slides. She even was a "babysitter" to a random little girl who decided to tag along on the play structure.

My little artist

Luke has a huge love of Star Wars. Since Daddy has been in Oklahoma visiting his grandma, we have decided to make it a true Star Wars room. I think he is a fantastic artist, so we decided he should make the artwork for his room. How do you think he did....?

Photobucket

Super cute, huh?

Photobucket

Drew's favorite present

This was one thrilled little boy. Santa brought EXACTLY what he asked for. One small problem....Drew wants to sleep in it.

Photobucket

Drew and Luke were playing today and I heard Drew say "Come on Luke, lets go to the locker room."

(and yes, he stuffed his little pajama body into that uniform as soon as he got it)

...and more Christmas photos...

When we arrived at Momo and Papa's it looked as if Santa had already came....oh wait, I think he did, he now just wears turtlenecks and answers to the name of Momo. Yep, she went CAH-Razy this year! Luke could not believe it. Spoiled, spoiled kids.

Photobucket

Drew did a running/hug/collapse thing when Uncle Matt arrived. He was very excited to see him.

The clan of cousins.

Um, since when did they become college kids?

Luke was in heaven. Photobucket

Raquel, who got Drew his favorite gift of the night, a football. He barely opened any other presents.

Our family.

Photobucket

Lovely little Lila.

Photobucket

And Jett, who spent the majority of the night focused on one toy. Batman. He loves himself a caped crusader. Photobucket

holding on tight

In the million of pictures we were taking on Christmas Eve, I spotted this. Drew holding on tight to his bestest buddy.

Merry Merry Christmas!

We are enjoying the gluttony of toys and chaos. Drew is thrilled to have gotten a football helmet and Luke is in LOVE with his walkie talkies from Rin Rin and Uncle Sean. I have many more pics to come....
But here are my boys, in a rare moment of total love. They had just opened their gifts from each other...Star Wars toys and a scooter.
Photobucket

And the four us. We haven't been all together in a long time.....and Matt made a surprise appearance (he wasn't supposed to get in until much later). I think that this was Momo's favorite present. All of her family under one roof.

My little artists

The boys have been busy working on some Christmas crafts. In the past we have taken Luke to the Dollar Store and let him buy for everyone on his list. Well....we decided that the family is sick of porcelin dogs and clowns so they are getting a home made gift.

Drew is hard at work. Although about halfway through the project he asked if he could paint himself. I credit this to Miss Danielle, his teacher, who makes painting a "whole body" experience. :)

Photobucket

Oh how I love him.

Photobucket

Luke's projects are so stinkin cute...I will post some after Christmas. He did a great job.

Photobucket

Same boy, years ago.....(seriously, wasn't this yesterday?! how did it go so fast.......?)

Not the ending we were hoping for....

The Broncos made it to the CIF Finals...a huge accomplishment! The day began with this..... (watch all the way through)

~~~~~~~
Yes, that is John. Yes, he has a huge "B" painted on his chest. And yes, he did that in front of all the students. Oh....and yes, he apparently has some deep love for those Broncos :)
Unfortunately, the cheer was not quite enough to pull off a victory. We lost to those nasty Puma's 7 to 13. And the worst part, if we would have won we would have been playing for the state title. :( Oh well, there is always next year, right?!
~~~~~~~~
This is how the boys had to spend the majority of the game, in a steamy little tent.

Photobucket

because of this......total downpour.

Photobucket

We can't wait for next year....especially Drew who is practicing his "handoff" every night.

Snow...in California?!?

Well, kinda. Our kindergarten team had snow delivered as a surprise to the kids and to cap off our Polar Express extravaganza! Of course, John brought over the boys after all the kids left so they could enjoy the fun too.

~~~~~~~
Drew was hard at work with Amma....
Photobucket
on the cutest little snowman I have ever seen...
Photobucket
He was so so proud of this. In fact, he woke up this morning wanting to go back and visit him (I decided not to tell him that the big kids played with the snow after he left and his lil snowman was crushed).
Photobucket
Oh and please appreciate Luke's elf hat. He HAD to be an elf because he had heard that all his teachers were going to be dressing like elves for their party (I think this was when he was supposed to be napping). Rin Rin told him that she had an elf hat and she quickly moved up the ranks to a favorite person.
Thanksgiving Fun
I am finally getting around to posting some Thanksgiving pictures.
~~~~~~
The two people that I am the most thankful for...
Photobucket
Nothing like outdoor races (how bout that tongue Luke?)

Best of buddies

Photobucket

Drew, totally appropriate toy choice for Thanksgiving

Photobucket

Momo, cheers-ing to Papa's good health! :)

And Drew with his favorite uncle... (you will have to ask Luke about this)

Daddy and Drew (Brees that is...)

Drew loves him some football. Even at 2 years old, he is a huge fan. He really loves watching the games with daddy. Tonight, as soon as John turned the game on, he ran to the playroom and grabbed his football. He then proceeded to watch the game like this.....

Photobucket

Oops, until he saw mean old Brady trying to beat Drew Brees. (He has some special feelings for good ol Brees...) :)
(at this point we had a conversation about not throwing the ball at the TV)

Photobucket

And this is his "RAAWWWRR" face when he wants to "tackle". Although, I do have to say, there is nothing cuter than watching him try and imitate the high school football players doing their warm-ups on Friday nights. I think he has mastered the art of pregame stretches. :)

A Time of Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! In the spirit of thanks we asked the boys this morning what they are thankful for......
Luke

Photobucket
*Our house
*Family because I love them
*All my toys
*Christmas
*All my friends
*All my cousins
*My room staying clean
*And I like everything about Valentines Day...like playing ball with my friends (I think at this point he was getting confused on what holiday we were actually celebrating!)
Drew

Photobucket
*for babies
*babies
*talking
*more babies
*Momo
*Papa
*Grandma
*football....go football game
*Papa (yes, again)
*and the ipod (a favorite!)
So...yes, Luke loves clean things and Drew apparently has a thing for babies right now...keep in mind this is the same kid who is eating his waffles dipped in ketchup right now. Yes, ketchup.
We have so many things to be thankful for. We are thankful for our boys who make us laugh every single day (and sometimes pull our hair out). The Broncos still being in the playoffs (ok, that was John's) :) Marley, our wonder dog. The Chargers being on a winning streak.....yep, another one of John's. Our home. Our jobs. And most importantly, there is not one thing that we are more thankful for this year than Papa's health. This has been a constant prayer in Luke and Drew's prayers at night and we are feel beyond thankful and blessed that we received the news we did on Monday. In Luke's words, "Papa is just the best...he is so special, I just like him." Oh and Drew wanted to say "Papa....and Momo!!" Good ol Drew :)

Umm....Christmas Photo FAIL!

We have had this problem year after year...I can never get a decent Christmas photo of the boys. I think this one takes the cake. Epic Fail :)

Photobucket

Drew did not love the idea of standing next to Luke in lights so....next best thing, wrap him up and try and drag him around....
Photobucket

Yeah, Luke hated it. (but Drew was loving it....) HA!

Let the playoffs begin!

I can't believe that football playoffs start this Friday. This season has gone by incredibly fast, probably because this the first season that I haven't had to bring strollers, diaper bags, pj's....just the boys, chairs, oh and some starbucks :)

Photobucket

This past Friday was the big Murrieta game. We got to the game hours early. The boys had fun pretending they were the "big boys" and running all over the field.

Photobucket

John and Luke

Photobucket

And Drew getting in on the big pep talk from Daddy.

Photobucket
Drew was too thrilled to have free reign of the field to stop and pose for many pictures. Luckily, Luke was willing to...
Photobucket

Then Luke wanted to try and take a picture of John and I....this was the last attempt of many....we decided to move into the shot for him :)
Photobucket
And then they tackle......(and Kaiden is in that pile too)
Photobucket
The group...in typical fashion....not everyone looking, smiling or even with their eyes open
Photobucket
Erin, Sean, Jett and Lila joined us for the big game. Jett was missing from most pictures because he and Drew had a great time playing "get em" Basic idea- push each other and laugh until one cries....lovely, lovely, game.

Photobucket

Raquel is a total football fan now. Hard to believe that she will be a true Bronco in 3 short years.....
Photobucket
Drew, watching the game from his little chair. After the game we went out on to the field to see John and every football player we passed Drew said, "Oh hi football game!" Guess we need to start working on more on the fundamentals with him.....

Photobucket

And a cute one of Drew's future wife, Maddie (Reesie's beautiful little girl)
